ABOUT US

HISTORY

C.S. Drilling, Inc. was first incorporated as a drilling company in 1988. C.S. Drilling has performed over 10,000 environmental and geotechnical projects in this time. In addition, we have installed more than 5,000 groundwater-monitoring wells in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana.

Previous Projects

These projects include commercial and industrial complexes, state and municipal facilities, petroleum storage facilities, railroad yards, land transaction properties for banking and insurance institutions and various other above ground and underground storage tank containing facilities.

Our drilling projects have included several dozen RCRA and CERCLA site investigations supervised by various clients. All of our on-site crews are 40 hour OSHA certified as Hazardous Waste Site Workers.

C.S. Drilling has installed numerous 1”, 2″,4″, 6”and 8″ monitoring wells at depths ranging up to 200’ Monitoring and recovery well installation programs have been performed per each project’s specifications. With respect to our Geoprobe 5400, C.S. Drilling has drilled numerous borings inside of buildings and outside, including obtaining water samples by use of a portable sampling pump and installation of 1” well points.

Capabilities

We also have geoprobe hammers mounted on all of our drill rigs, which provide our clients the luxury to drill or probe on the same day.

With respect to interior drilling, we can core through concrete and soil sample with our jackhammer and geoprobe attachments, which allow us to advance geoprobe liners via our jackhammer.

We also have a cart mounted geoprobe to work in small areas.

C.S. Drilling’s experience and qualifications include drilling through various overburden materials utilizing split spoon sampling and continuous sampling techniques or mud rotary to depths of 200’. Our capabilities also include rock coring, mud rotary drilling and sampling by use of five-foot continuous samplers. C.S. Drilling houses all of their decontamination units in its fleet of vans and their use is needed on all environmental drilling work.

Geotechnical drilling requires the use of elevation equipment, boring logs, and sample jars that are all provided by C.S. Drilling.

General Liability Insurance

As an added precaution for both the client and C.S. Drilling, we maintain general liability insurance of two million dollars per occurrence and a pollution liability policy of one million dollars.
